Aloha, my lovelies!
I’d like to start some chat about one of my favorite obsessions today, Yoga! I adore Yoga, the dynamic differences in the poses and sequences, additional flavors to routine like focusing on breath, or Pranayama, and especially the infinite possibilities possible with creating my very own unique routine. There is so much freedom in being able to create my own sequence, adding in some light weight curls to Yoga stretches for a slightly more cardio workout, or even just plopping right down after stretches and a couple of easy Warrior Pose I movements and Side Triangles to start meditating and basically just stay seated focusing on my breath and maybe doing some shoulder rolls for the rest of the workout. So many options and so much room to play!
I would love to see some comments from my awesome readers on this yoga chat, maybe some ideas on fun and interesting yoga poses themselves! What do you guys think? Do you have a sweet and fun Yoga routine of your own, or a favorite set of poses you do every time? Are you more of an adventurous Yogi with your sequence, or do you like routine and just do it the same way every time? I like mixing it up every once in awhile, but the old-fashioned way can be really rewarding, too. Nothing wrong with keeping the yoga mat indoors and doing the same poses, but then again, a little adventure in a yoga practice can be even more fun!
So which are you? Are you zen, tried and true and always relaxing? Are you a Yoga Chanter and always have to chant a mantra when you’re breathing or in a pose? Or are you like me, quite the hot Yogi mess but at least you’re always giving it your best shot and trying new things and new ways of looking at the world?
